Defining the Problems

While identifying the fundamental issues impacting the overall experience surrounding various tasks on the platform, I engaged with our clients and identified the main issues.

  • Common feedback indicated the need for more cohesion in the processes that many individuals across the dairy supply chain rely on to manage their daily workflows efficiently.

  • Another feedback that came up frequently was the need for more management at each phase of the process, which should ideally be intuitive, trackable, and secure.

  • The application’s overall usability and experience efficiencies were plagued with UI bugs and broken flows.

These issues led to perplexity during simple task completion, which decreased user retention and ultimately undermined the platform’s trustworthiness and reliability.

Design Process

Every project started with a detailed kick-off meeting to understand the business objectives, client requirements, intended functionality, and expected results. Typically, this process is coupled with a review of the present experience and competitor analysis to pinpoint improvement opportunities and fresh innovations.

  • Informed by these research results, I fashioned low fidelity wireframes to solicit feedback on the proposed solutions.

  • After enhancing the wireframes with my team, I developed high-fidelity prototypes, integrating visuals, brand, and textual content.

  • Recognizing the importance of mobile connection for our clients (roughly 65%), I crafted a mobile experience tailored for our dairy drivers, factory managers, and producers.

Upon receiving endorsement of the proposed user experience, I orchestrated the transfer of designs and resources to the development team. As the principal designer, my role extended into the development stage, guaranteeing precise realization and pursuing meticulous quality check-ups to comply with practical and design prerequisites.

Heat maps showing user activities throughout the app

Behaviour mapping for troubleshooting experience barriers

User retention and engagement analysis

Measuring task completion times

Conducting outreach to assess the satisfaction level of our users
